Our company mantra is “Redefining the limits of human physical performance” and that is exactly what we plan to do. At this point you may well be thinking “Wow, that’s a pretty bold claim!” and you’d be right. So, here’s a bit about us and how we can turn you into a super-human!
If you have ended up here then you will hopefully know what our product is and the benefits it can bring to your training plan. However, if you are a newbie, here is a brief introduction to our technology and what it can do for you.
Now that we have your attention, it’s science time!
Who we are and what we are doing?
Burli are a fitness technology start-up and we are building a product that can help you maximise muscle growth and accelerate performance improvements. It is designed to be used alongside a good training program and a healthy, balanced diet and will boost your body’s ability to perform growth and repair to your muscle tissue post-workout. We can’t quite turn you into X-Men’s Wolverine just yet but we can help your body to perform growth and repair at a much faster than normal rate. Essentially, this allows you to leverage the muscle gains and performance improvements you already get from your training and helps to accelerate these results. The best part is, because microcurrent works in harmony with the body’s natural processes, there are zero negative side-effects!
Our product is in the development stage right now and is due to go on sale later this year. If you have heard of microcurrent before then you may think it is for beauty and skincare but it’s practical uses go far beyond this. It has been used by professional athletes recovering from injuries for many years now. We want to repurpose this technology for muscle and performance gains and bring it into the mainstream, making it accessible for all who strive for physical perfection. 20 years ago whey protein shakes were a niche product for professional bodybuilders but today are consumed by millions of gym-goers all over the world as an easy, healthy way to boost protein intake. We believe that microcurrent will follow the same trend and will soon be an essential component of any good training program.
What we are talking about is a physical device that delivers microcurrent into your body (which is not to be mistaken for a muscle stimulator that will shock you to contract your muscles). The electrical current is of such a low level that it cannot be felt. It works on a cellular level to promote growth and repair in your muscle tissue. Microcurrent achieves this by increasing your cell’s production rate of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) by up to 400%. For more in-depth information on this you can read our next post: “Extra Muscle and Strength, no Extra Reps”
Who is this for?
Our product is designed to benefit anyone who is doing any form of regular exercise. Although it is aimed at those of us who are most involved in the world of sports and fitness, it also has value to anyone doing regular physical activity. As with any form of training, what you get out is directly dependant on what you put in. Although our product will have some benefits for people with a fairly sedentary lifestyle, it is set up at a current level and frequency to target muscular growth and repair.
The kind of benefits gained will vary from one activity to another. For example:
- If you are a weightlifter training for muscle gains or strength you are most likely to see improvements in muscle size and greater improvement in your one-rep maximum.
- If you are a sprinter you are more likely to see further improvement in your 100 and 200m times.
- A basketball player training regularly is likely to increase power in their vertical jump.
It all depends on how you train.
Whether you are a professional athlete, bodybuilder or just a passionate member of the fitness community, we want to create a platform to discuss the technology we are utilising and its many potential uses and benefits. We will also be keeping you up to date with what is happening within Burli at various stages of our product development. More than anything though, we want you to engage and get involved. Questions, comments, concerns – we welcome them all. We are a very open and transparent company and we care about you and your views so, if you’ve got something to say, we’d love to hear it. Just pop in your email, think up a ridiculous username and let your voice be heard.
